Future in Interior Design

After completing my portfolio I feel very accomplished! Not only did I spend a lot of time on each page, each page is full of work I have spent a lot of time on! When showing my portfolio to friends and family that just flip over pages that I spent too many hours that I can't even count on, it is quite disheartening when they flip the page too quickly! But, I am incredibly proud of each page and each project on each page which is the most satisfying of all.

I had the pleasure of winning the ASID Design Excellence Awards for "Best Computer Generated Rendering" this past week, so this is my most proud work to date!

Even better news, after showing off my portfolio during and interview with RuleJoyTremmel + Rubio and receiving great feed back I was on cloud nine! Best of all, I received and job offer from them today! I will be interning this summer (PAID) to prove my worth in hopes of receiving a full time job at the end! Wish me luck! I couldn't be happier!!

The Art of Color

In my interiors I generally pick neutrals and add pops of color through accessories. For example, my room is all neutrals with one purple vase. I have neutral stripes on the walls that provide a pretty versatile background so changing the accessories' colors changes the whole feel of the space.

Creating a space that is mostly neutrals allows you to change your space easily by changing your accessories. This could also be an accent wall that you change the color of to change the feel of the space. The following are examples of spaces where the accessories/accent wall hold the color and could be change easily to change the whole feel of the room.
