I love when I go to the grocery store and find a
new fruit I've never seen before!
Who would have thought that purchasing this POMELO would have inspired my senior college portfolio?! As soon as I saw it in the store I knew I had to have it! It wasn't just because it was huge, green and that I had never seen anything like it before.. well maybe it was, but nevertheless I still had no idea why I was buying it. When I got home I started looking for a surface I could put this BRIGHT GREEN fruit on to show the impact it had on me in the store, in a photograph. I also never would have thought my boring old porch would serve as the perfect backdrop for this POMELO. It's amazing how easy it is to be creative, even with household items or things you look at everyday.
The best way to be creative through photography is..
to put recognizable items in recognizable places..
to intrigue your viewers.
Whenever you walked into the classroom with this photograph I learned something about you that I never knew before. You aren't only a great designer but a wonderful photographer. I was able to see some of your work even with our group project. I appreciate and admire your work through your interior design work, design graphic, and photography skills.
