The Art of Color

In my interiors I generally pick neutrals and add pops of color through accessories. For example, my room is all neutrals with one purple vase. I have neutral stripes on the walls that provide a pretty versatile background so changing the accessories' colors changes the whole feel of the space.

Creating a space that is mostly neutrals allows you to change your space easily by changing your accessories. This could also be an accent wall that you change the color of to change the feel of the space. The following are examples of spaces where the accessories/accent wall hold the color and could be change easily to change the whole feel of the room.

  1. I do the same thing with my interiors. I think that by adding pops of color, the room looks more chic and adds interest.

  2. A simple change can alter the feeling someone has when they enter a room and it is crazy to think that as designers, we have that power to select the feelings people will have as they eneter a space we have designed. Just like the quote, "With great power comes great responsibility", we have a responsibility to our clients to create a space that they will be happy in.

  3. i like the road you have taken for your use of color. i've always thought of using color in large areas like walls and ceilings, but i like the idea of just using accessories to express that same feeling.
